Our Elders
"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you" (Hebrews 13:17).
The New Testament pattern for the Lord's church calls for the appointment of elders in each local congregation (Acts 14:23 ; Titus 1:5; Philippians 1:1). These men must meet the qualifications specified by the New Testament (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). Elders are also referred to as bishops, shepherds, or pastors. The Cordova family is blessed to have five qualified men to lead and guide us. These men have a tremendous responsibility as the shepherds of the souls of those christians under their watch and care.
